High Altitude snow sure skiing
Val D’Isere is a snow sure location with guaranteed snow from the end of November until the beginning of May. A fantastic resort for early or late season skiing as 60% of the pistes are over 2,200m. Plus it has an impressive network of over 900 snow canons to ensure top quality pistes into the resorts.
Happy kids, Happy parents! Val D’Isere has many great english speaking ski schools and child care services to allow you to enjoy your time on the slopes. The new Solaise beginners area provides a high altitude, safe and fun place to learn their first turns. Off the snow there are family activities galore including the aquacentre featuring lazy river for the kids and spa facilities for the grown ups! Other activities on offer around the resort include ice skating, sledging, air boarding and snake glisse.
With 96 speedy lifts and over 300km of pisted runs, the Espace Killy are provides top quality skiing for all abilities. With brand new state of the art learning areas,2 snowparks and plenty of off piste terrain for the thrill seekers. Perhaps challenge yourself on the infamous ‘Le Face’ black run that runs at a very steep angle from the top of the Olympic lift, 3 kms into town.
In Val D’Isere you are spoilt for choice when it comes to aprés ski. For the hard core, dancing on the tables is a must at the famous Follie Douce. Don’t miss their Cabaret show on a Friday afternoon. Our favourite is Cocorico at the bottom of the Solaise which can host equally lively parties with live bands. After dinner you can party until the early hours with the DJ’s at Dicks Tea Bar or Doudoune.
Val D offers plenty of activities to keep the non-skiers busy. Whether it’s a mountain top lunch our favourite restaurant Le Signal or an afternoon hitting the many boutiques on the high street. For the more adventurous why not take a winter walk up the beautiful Manchet valley, try out the BMW ice driving or even dog sledding! After a busy day relax in the comfort of your chalet with a massage from Massage on the Mountain.
