Favourite Morning Coffee Stop

Our favourite place for a coffee is on the mountain itself. The Marquise side of the resort gets the first sun so head up for a couple of runs and make a stop on the sunny deck of the Marquise restaurant underneath the Marquise chair. Here you can warm up with your mid-morning coffee with a stunning view down the Tarentiase valley. Or maybe a rum hot chocolate – another of our favourites?

Favourite mountain restaurant

Les Brevettes is a small traditional savoyard mountainside restaurant at the top of the first lift in Ste Foy. It has a simple but delicious menu featuring homemade ravioli and assiettes as well as the plat du jour. In the spring, enjoy a vin chaud or a beer whilst catching some rays on the deck. 

Best restaurant in the village

A must try restaurant in the neighbouring village Le Miroir, Chez Marie offers delicious regional cuisine and seasonal menus. They are famous for their meat grilled in the stone hearth. Perfect place for your chalet staff night off.

Favourite thing to do when not skiing

Getting a massage from Mary at Massage on the Mountain. She offers holistic and deep tissue massages in the comfort of your own chalet. We can also arrange private Yoga and Pilates sessions in the chalet.

Favorite après

If you are looking for something a bit different for Aprés, try our favourite; Le Saint Germain, the newly opened wine bar in the Bataiette side of town. Here you can try their selection of the best regional or other french wines and nibble on assiettes made up of regional cheeses, charcuterie and local farm products. 

Favourite ski run

Has to be the Grande Soliet blue run that winds its way underneath the Marquise chair, this was recently voted the 5th best run in the world. It is the perfect place to practice your carving turns or to pretend your taking part in a novice downhill event. For the more adventurous, take the off piste sections through the trees and find some untouched powder!

Favourite Shopping

Sainte Foy is a small resort with only a few shops, however being only 30 minutes from Val D’Isere it is a great opportunity for a day trip or an evening out if your ski legs need a break. The main street and Olympic Avenue are a shopoholics paradise. Our favourite is Mountain Pro Shop for good quality performance ski wear and equipment. 

Top tip

Don’t be put off the its size, it is in fact its size that make it popular. People come for Ste Foy’s relaxed charm. This is a resort unlike the huge ski areas which surround it. A resort where people talk to each other on chairlifts, in restaurants and at the bar at the bottom of the hill. Stay a week and you start to make friends, come back the following year and you bump into familiar faces. Soon you become part of the community, you know the staff in the bar, the lift operators and so it goes on. Don’t forget there is vast km’s of skiing just on your doorstep!
