Heli-skiing
Our location and a legal loophole allow us to heli-ski here in France. Heli-skiing is illegal in France, but not in Italy. By taking the helicopter a few kilometers to the Italian border and then a second helicopter to one of the Italian peaks we are able to ski upto 2200 metres in one run, arriving back in France to be collected by the helicopter. We work with Mike Benett of Heli-Mountains (www.helimountains.com) and the local guides Severin Marchand and Franck Grand.
Depending on the availability of the chopper we can be collected from a farmers field just five minutes away from the chalet near the charming village of Le Miroir or from the heli-pad at La Rosiere. The sheer excitement you feel as the helicopter comes into view to collect you is worth the cost itself. The guides have various drop points and different descents to suit both the snow conditions and clients abilities. It’s a fabulous day out that usually culminates in a late and leisurely lunch in either Chez Merie or La Monal. Worth every penny.
