Watersports

There are a number of local firms offering guided trips in kayaks, rafts and hydro speed (a kind of boogie board) on the local Isere river starting from Bourg St Maurice just ten minutes from the chalet. The Isere is famous in kayaking circles and was host to the World Championships in 2004. There is a slalom course for serious paddlers and the whitewater center is a hive on activity in the summer, with a bar, restaurant and other services. We can also offer trips just over the border into the Val D'Aosta in Italy which is considered to be Europe's best river for rafting.
