Skiing

From late June to September skiing is available on the glacier at Tignes. This is one of the top three destinations for summer skiing in Europe and features great facilities including a cable car, two chairs and six drags. There is a vertical descent of around 800 metres, a snow park, race training course and beginners slopes.

The skiing starts at about 8am and finishes at 2pm. Unless you are a keen racer or park fan it is more of a novelty day out but quite an experience. Well worth the early start...
