Mountain Biking

In terms of cross country mountain biking the Haute Tarentaise valley is one of the best places in the world. Centuries of trade and agriculture have left the area littered with tracks, paths and roads which provide opportunities for mountain bikers of all standards. As keen mountain bikers ourselves we can give suggested routes around the chalet and further afield. The local sports shops rent mountain bikes and have knowledgeable staff capable of fixing broken bikes and there are guides who operate locally show you the best the area has to offer.

For downhillers nearby Les Arcs opens its specially designed lifts to take bikes and then offers detailed maps and tracks for the descent. Like in skiing there are tracks for all standards and, with the lifts, the opportunity to cover a huge amount of terrain in one day. Nine lifts operate during the summer and there are over 100km of marked trails.
