Ski Safari-ing at Chalet Rassel

Chalet Rassel offers something truly unique, a different way ‘to do’ skiing. The Chalet’s location at the base of Sainte Foy means it can access 5 of the major Tarentaise resorts within between 5 and 20 minutes drive. With a total of 700km of pisted runs to choose from, we wont ski the same run twice!

The first thing we do when we wake up at the Chalet is check the weather and from this we determine the best resort to ski that day. We really make the most out of the conditions. On stormy days we might take shelter in the trees of Les Arcs or Sainte Foy. On the warmer early season or spring days we can go to Tignes or Val D’Isere to make the most of the high altitude skiing. We will take you to our favourite restaurants in each resort to ensure you get the best experience and service.

The best day of the week, we save for the ultimate day trip- A ski over to Italy from La Rosiere. There is some fantastic skiing on the way, with a compulsory stop for a bobardino (a popular hot eggnog liquer drink for those that don’t know!) We indulge in a fantastic Italian meal at a local family restaurant, finished with a chocolate pizza, before skiing back to France.

But don’t take our word for it, here is what our guests say…

‘In terms of the skiing experience I would say that it is hard to beat. Everything is taken care of, ski hire and fitting, lift passes, delivery to the slopes even a restaurant booking at lunch time – you really don’t have to worry about a thing. The hosts are great, its nice not to have to look at the piste map if you don’t want to!!’

“Get up in morning to look out of window to consult with staff where you should ski that day given you are in the middle of some of the the best skiing in the world, Les Arcs, Tignes, Val – pop over to Italy??? All a short drive away”
