Chalet La Tene
Resort Information
Val D'Isere’s history dates back to the 1930s when it was first recognised as being one of the greatest ski areas on the planet. Year on year, it continues to draw back both beginners through to extreme skiers, with the huge variety of skiing available. It is now recognised as being one of the ‘truly great’ ski resorts in the world.
On the Piste
Val D’Isere links to the Tignes ski area offering a haven for skiers of all levels across the 128 pistes.
There are two nursery areas in Val d’Isere, one in the centre and one in La Daillie, where you can find the gentle slopes ideal for children and absolute beginners. Once you have conquered these, there are ‘Ski Tranquille’ areas (translates as the Ski Quietly areas), which are ideal to learn to ski something a little more difficult without heading on the busier slopes.
For the intermediate skiers, the kilometres of Green and Blue runs allow you to work on your style before moving up to the Reds and the Blacks, a challenge for all skiers!
For the powder hounds, the off piste in Val D’Isere is exceptionally well managed and you can usually find fresh powder throughout the season. We highly recommend taking an experienced guide off-piste, to show you around and keep you safe. We can arrange this for you if required.
There are a number of ski schools in the area, whatever your standard of skiing, and we are happy to recommend them to you. We can also ski-host you on the mountain, with our very capable guides, to show you the freshest snow and the coldest beer!
We can also arrange all your ski passes and ski and boot hire, to ensure you can concentrate on your holiday.
Off the Piste

We also have a Resort Guide in the chalet for you to browse when you arrive. We are happy to arrange restaurant bookings for you in advance and can tell you of any events happening in the village the week you stay with us.
